During the process of elimination of blowouts the problem of dismantling wellhead often were revealed. This type of operation is very dangerous and time-consuming. Using hydroabrasive (water-jet) cutting method can significantly secure and accelerate process of the accident liquidation as a whole. In this paper were determinedthe optimal cutting mode and the composition of a mixture of water-jet cutting of equipment by pressure up to 40 MPa during the cutting work wellhead to eliminate blowouts.
Materials and methods
Testing bench “Struya”. Steel samples of different brands.
Results
As result of testing was determined and set effective cutting pressure which is 30 MPa. Also was determined the optimal concentration of sand 120... 150 kg/m3, it should be noted that the increase in the fraction of sand does not affect the process of cutting, and the hardness of the steel, which is cut, does not affect the cutting speed.
Сonclusions
A number of the above studies have shown that it is technically possible to carry out work on the cutting (dismemberment) wellhead equipment during emergency operations for liquidation of open oil fountains with Waterjet cutting technology and use of available materials and technology. To implement this method in the emergency work is necessary to further develop the special tool (hydroabrasive cutter), as well as prove the work of cutting technology of the various elements of metal structures wellhead, which do not have a straight shape.
