The article addresses characteristics and influence of engineering and geocryological conditions in the process of geotechnical monitoring for the maintenance of safe operation of industrial gas field facilities of the Urengoy oil, gas and condensate field.

Results
Based on the analysis conducted on the territory of the Urengoy oil gas and condensate field areas are allocated with similar engineering and geocryological conditions, covering features, which improve the efficiency of managerial decisions to ensure the operational reliability of engineering structures.
Сonclusions
The analysis revealed engineering and geocryological peculiarities of the territory of the Urengoy oil gas and condensate field.
