Temperature factor plays an important role in the oil production operations, when providing for the required well workover interval, and in the safe operation of the facility. The work gives an example of the thermal-stress analysis of the production string metal when injecting low temperature fluids. It shows possible complications caused by the heat treatment of the wells.
Materials and methods
Experimental material analysis, engineering calculation of the process and equipment material properties.
Results
Engineering analysis of the basic oil production processes is carried out where a consideration of temperature factor impact is required, and recommendations are given on how to prevent from the complications.
Conclusions
When planning and performing the processes, an evaluation of the temperature change impact on the equipment and the possible complications is required. If nonmetallic equipment (fiberglass, polyethylene) is used, avoiding thermal impact is required to ensure that the equipment strength is maintained. When working out projects and installing the ground equipment, climate and environmental conditions are to be considered along with the other factors, and the level of physiological, psychological and moral impact of the environmental conditions on the human health when maintaining the facility.
