Clarification of diagnostics criteria for complex gas treatment plant equipment

Optimizing the applied systems of technical maintenance and repair of the equipment is of current concern for many companies. It involves switching to condition based maintenance, which is possible, if methods, means, and depth of the equipment diagnostic are determined clearly. The suggested monitoring system for the mean-square value of vibration velocity based on the s pecified rates of vibration for rotary equipment is an initi al phase of implementing the condition based maintenance, though it is sufficient.

 

Results

The urgent character of the issues covered in the ar ticle and of the results obtained in the s tudies is proven by the required optimization of the applied rotary equipment maintenance systems that many of the Russian companies still operate under PM schedule. Switching to the condition based maintenance of the rotary equipment requires using methods of vibrodiagnostics. The first phase of the system implementation is monitoring the RMS of the vibration velocity.

 

Conclusions

Results of the r ecomputation of standard values for vibration zones exemplified by the ventilation equipment used at the complex gas treatment plant allow specifying the c riteria for mechanisms diagnostic, increasing system sensitivity to incipient defects with consideration of ventilator brand on case-by-case basis, providing for an op portunity to prevent from initiation of processes of degradation related to the def ect impact during the operation process, and ju stifying further mode of mechanism work. Interpreting results of the s tudies as an empiric al dependence diagram allows using of the obtained conformity of the ac cepted values of the vibration velocity and the ventilation equipment drive power to identify the vibration zones of the ventilators not listed among the s tudied ones.
